The 2004 USS Nimitz Tic Tac incident is one of the most thoroughly documented UAP encounters in modern U.S. military history. After re-examining the complete radar–visual timeline of the event (10–16 November 2004), I identified a previously unreported temporal correlation: the entire multi-day UAP wave falls precisely within a single lunar resonance window—the New Moon Octant.
This finding emerged from applying the octant-based timing model defined in the Resonance Hypothesis (RH) of the Mysteryology™ Unified Framework. The correlation is mathematically well-defined, straightforward to reproduce, and—importantly—consistent with a theory-driven structure rather than a post-hoc pattern.
This article presents the method, findings, interpretation, and scientific significance of this discovery.
The USS Nimitz (CVN-68) UAP wave of November 2004 has been investigated through radar logs, pilot interviews, infrared footage, and technical analyses for nearly two decades [1][2]. Despite this extensive scrutiny, no study has analyzed the incident through the lens of celestial timing.
Building on the Mysteryology™ Unified Framework, I examined whether the Nimitz timeline aligned with a resonance window predicted by the Resonance Hypothesis (RH). This approach led to the identification of a clear, measurable correlation between the UAP wave and a specific segment of the lunar synodic cycle.
To my knowledge, this correlation has not been identified in any military, scientific, or UAP research literature [1][3].
Between 10–16 November 2004, the USS Princeton (CG-59), part of the Nimitz Carrier Strike Group, detected multiple unidentified aerial objects on its Aegis SPY-1B radar system at altitudes near 80,000 ft, descending rapidly to 20,000 ft and sometimes to near sea level [1][4]. Radar technicians recalibrated the system several times, yet the anomalous returns persisted [1][4].
On 14 November 2004, at approximately 18:00 UTC (10:00 PST), two F/A-18F Super Hornets from VFA-41 (“Black Aces”), flown by Cmdr. David Fravor and Lt. Cmdr. Alex Dietrich, were directed to intercept one of the radar contacts. The intercept occurred near 32.880° N, –118.390° W [1].
Fravor reported a 40 ft, smooth, white, wingless object hovering above a large patch of turbulent “boiling” water on an otherwise calm ocean surface [5]. As he descended, the object mirrored his movements and accelerated instantaneously out of visual range [5]. Seconds later, the Princeton reported the object had reappeared at the Combat Air Patrol (CAP) point, approximately 60 miles away, near 32.867° N, –117.268° W [4][5].
Later that day, another F/A-18 recorded the now-famous FLIR1 infrared footage, which the U.S. Department of Defense confirmed as authentic in 2017 and again in 2019 [6][7].
Radar and sensor contacts continued through 15–16 November, after which activity ceased [1].

The Mysteryology™ Unified Framework consists of three interconnected layers:

New Moon: 12 November 2004 at 14:25 UTC [8][9]
UAP wave mapping:
Thus:
This finding is specific to the 2004 wave; other UAP waves show clustering near other lunar phases.

This approach elevates UAP studies toward scientifically measurable patterns rather than anecdotal reporting.

If future releases of detailed logs or classified timelines significantly revise the start or end dates of the wave, the exact strength of this correlation will need to be re-evaluated.

Further research should:
Additional UAP waves will be analyzed using the same fixed octant criteria to evaluate whether similar clustering occurs or whether the Nimitz case represents a unique resonance alignment.
These steps will determine whether the Nimitz pattern is unique or part of a larger resonance signature.

The New Moon Octant Resonance Discovery identifies a clear temporal correlation between the USS Nimitz UAP wave and a fixed, mathematically defined resonance window. This pattern is precise, reproducible, theory-consistent, and opens a new avenue for scientific investigation.

have made a significant new discovery about the famous 2004 USS Nimitz Tic Tac UAP incident.
My analysis reveals that the entire multi-day wave aligns precisely with a specific lunar timing window known as the New Moon Octant — a pattern that has never been identified before.
This finding opens a new direction for UAP research and supports a key component of my Mysteryology™ Unified Framework, providing a measurable way to study when these events are most likely to occur.
